Many high school and college students, as well as adults, struggle with executive functioning skills. Having strong executive skills increases their ability to follow through with their work, whether that’s in school or the workplace. These skills are called “executive” skills because they’re similar to those a company leader would have to ensure their company is competitive and profitable. By working with a coach, students and adults can develop strategies to improve their performance in school, work, and daily living.

Executive skills coaching can help students and adults:

  • manage their time

  • be more organized

  • remember what was said or what they have to do

  • improve their attention

  • get started on tasks

  • plan and prioritize their tasks

  • regulate their emotions

  • and persist to reach their goals

Whether someone is neurotypical or neurodivergent (such as having ADHD, Autism, or a learning disability), coaches can help identify areas their clients want to address, break down tasks into manageable parts, develop a plan, monitor progress, and provide check-ins to increase accountability, which increases the likelihood of success.

By using a motivational approach and drawing from my personal experience, professional training and years of working as an advocate, I welcome the opportunity to develop trusted relationships with my clients while helping them achieve their academic and life goals.
