Many high school and college students as well as adults struggle with executive functioning skills including time management, working memory, sustained attention, task initiation, planning/prioritizing, and goal-directed persistence. Whether someone is neurotypical or neurodivergent (such as having ADHD, Autism or a learning disability), coaching can help improve these skills. We’ll start by determining if the client is ready for and committed to coaching, develop a trusting relationship through conversation and informal assessments, discuss ideas for goals, identify strategies to achieve and maintain those goals, and leave time to check in on their work/life balance. By offering a compassionate and motivational approach, students and adults will build on small successes in order to reach the their larger goal.
Example goal areas:
Building confidence
Improving performance at school/work
Developing systems and strategies for organization, time management, and task initiation
Identifying and accessing outside resources
Improving relationships with peers and professionals
Understanding and managing course/work load
Book a complimentary inquiry meeting to discuss your goals for working together or if you’re ready, let’s talk.
